About the Event

Students in grades 3-5 are welcome to register for an exciting new opportunity in collaboration with the Longmeadow Historical Society. Local historian and Historical Society board member, Melissa M. Cybulski, is writing a new chapter book all about our town and one of its most famous boy heroes, Johnny "Appleseed" Chapman! The group will tour the Storrs House Museum next door to the library and hear about life for Johnny and his friends in 1783. Participants will have the chance to offer real-time feedback as Melissa works to edit her manuscript and get her new book published.
