About the Event
Curious to learn more about why beer, and where it was consumed, was so important to the colonists and revolutionaries in Massachusetts? Or how the Sons of Liberty plotted over a port and a pint at notorious public houses like Boston’s Green Dragon Tavern?
Join us to explore the importance of taverns, inns, and ordinaries between 1620 and 1776, where radicals imbibed and plotted to change the world, and these gathering places took center stage as the American Revolution took shape.
This program helps Longmeadow Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution and is sponsored by the Longmeadow Historical Society and the Friends of Storrs Library.
