While Paul Revere is best known for his "Midnight Ride" and as a trained Silversmith, he also became a prolific copperplate engraver, providing several political images that helped fuel the Revolution. In 2020, Andy Volpe engraved an exact replica of Revere's most infamous print, "Boston Massacre"

About the Event

Andy Volpe currently resides in Worcester, MA, and grew up in Sturbridge, gaining an appreciation for

Letterpress printing thanks to Old Sturbridge Village. He attended Westfield

State College and earned a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, where he fell in love with

the Old Masters working in Intaglio on copperplate covering 1400s-1800. He

currently researches and replicates prints relating to the American

Revolution like that of Revere with the Printing Office of Edes & Gill in
