LHS Presents: Stroll America Series: Lives and Livelihoods in Colonial Longmeadow with Bob ABEL In-Person

Join us, along with members of the Longmeadow Historical Society, for a sunset stroll and Longmeadow History Discussion, as part of our Stroll America series.  If you've always wanted to learn more about our Town, come stroll Longmeadow with us!

This program explores the everyday experiences of the men, women, and children who shaped Longmeadow during the colonial era. It examines how residents made their living, organized their households, practiced their faith, and built a close knit community.  Drawing on local history, material culture, and period practices, the program highlights how work, family life, and community responsibility were deeply intertwined.  By focusing on ordinary people as well as prominent figures, this program brings the past to life and fosters a deeper appreciation for the foundations of the community.
